Dave has a new paraphrase for the bible verse in I Thessalonians 5:17 that says, “Pray continually.” As we were talking last night, trying to encourage each other about not giving up, he said, “We’re just gonna have to nag heaven.” I love it! And I agreed with him. That is exactly what we are going to do.
Our friend in India, Pastor Joshua, says that they are not allowing God to rest regarding Pastor Dave day and night. That sounds a lot like nagging heaven to me.
Today Dave is still having a hard time. He feels terrible. His fever was 102.8 early this morning, but has come down significantly since then. It seems to bounce around a lot. The doctors still don’t know what is causing the fevers. Tomorrow morning at 7:30 they will be doing another bone marrow biopsy to see if that tells them anything. That’s scary for us because it could indicate leukemia activity that they aren’t seeing in the blood or brain fluid, but it’s something important that we need to know about.
For those of you who know Dave well, you can probably almost hear him saying those words, “We’re just gonna have to nag heaven.”
