My Weakness, His Strength

My Weakness, His Strength When I am weak, God is strong. When tragedy strikes, when temptation is overpowering, when our knees buckle under the weight of difficulty –- that is when God is the strongest in our life. In the Bible, God says to us, “My power is strongest when you are weak.” God’s strength is available to anyone who reaches out to Him. To everyone who call Him Lord. This strength is found in our relationship with God, through what Christ did for us on the cross. That’s where the relationship is. That’s where the strength is. But He said to me, “My grace is enough for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 This brings freedom to be honest and real. I don’t have to pretend to be strong. I admit my weakness to myself, to God, and to those around me. I am weak. I am sad. I feel broken. Great is my distress! And in that distress, I call out to God, I ask for His strength. It is real. It is strong. God’s strength carries me through. He picks me up and holds me close and sustains me through my difficulty. We can walk through sorrow held in the arms of a powerful God. We can walk through tragedy being upheld by a power that is far greater than our own strength. We can face the scary things in life head on because we don’t have to face them by ourselves. We aren’t on our own in the difficulties, in the grief. God walks alongside us, offering us His presence and His strength. I pray you know God’s strength in your weakness today. It is available to you. He is waiting patiently for you to reach out to Him. He is already reaching out to you. I have known great weakness, and I have known the miraculous strength of God in my weakness. I pray that for you today, too. Carol Stoecklein

My Weakness, His Strength

When I am weak, God is strong. When tragedy strikes, when temptation is overpowering, when our knees buckle under the weight of difficulty –- that is when God is the strongest in our life. In the Bible, God says to us, “My power is strongest when you are weak.”

God’s strength is available to anyone who reaches out to Him. To everyone who call Him Lord. This strength is found in our relationship with God, through what Christ did for us on the cross. That’s where the relationship is. That’s where the strength is.

But He said to me, “My grace is enough for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

This brings freedom to be honest and real.
