Legacy

Legacy Everyone will leave a legacy. What will yours be? What is the footprint that you’re leaving behind as you navigate through the opportunities and challenges of each day? How are you affecting the people around you? Important questions! After another difficult week of fevers, extreme headaches, and time spent in the hospital, Dave was able to give the message at IHC last Sunday. An incredible gift, especially given the topic. Legacy. Our family is incredibly proud of Dave and the legacy he is living and leaving. We consider it a great privilege to live alongside him. We treasure and are inspired by the influence of his life in reflecting the goodness and greatness of God in the midst of both the wonderful and the terrible. And here’s the thing – every single one of us are given that same opportunity. A responsibility we can’t ignore or delegate. If you would like (well worth your time), you can listen to the message here: https://vimeo.com/118513269 One young man said, “Wow, that message was awesome and it really made me think. If I died tomorrow, I wouldn’t be happy about the legacy I would leave.” That’s huge! Opportunities. Challenges. Choices. What are you doing with them? Decide today not to waste your life. Redefine success. A profound legacy can be left within the “cards you have been dealt,” the life you have been given, regardless what that is. Really. No excuses. Here’s an important perspective: God has strategically placed you in this world to make a difference for Him. So get busy leaving a legacy you can be proud of, a legacy that reflects the character of the One who gave you life, your eternal creator great God! A little bonus from that hospital stay this past week, and all the tests they had to run, was discovering that there is no sign of the leukemia in Dave’s body! Thank you, God, for more time! Thank you all for your continued love and prayers.
