Dear Friends,
Late Friday night, we had the privilege of witnessing Pastor Dave’s departure from earth to a place outside of time and space where his joy is complete: Heaven.
Dave was very peaceful and free of pain over the past several days. Our family was able to gather around him for some very special moments, filled with worship and prayer. Please know we are brokenhearted for ourselves, but so happy for Dave who is safely home… finally well.
“I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety. For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your holy one to rot in the grave. You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.” Psalm 16:8-11
Dave’s impact will be felt for generations to come. He made a commitment many years ago to humbly and faithfully serve God with his life. He did just that. We are so grateful to have been given a front row seat to such a significant life and we are committed to continuing his legacy. We are proud of the way he lived, served, and loved. He finished well. Now comes the reward.
Next Sunday, October 18, we will honor Dave’s life with a very special memorial service. We will update you with more information and details early next week.
