Today is Pastor Dave’s birthday! The nurses and doctors on our floor brought him a surprise cake and we all got to sing “happy birthday” to him! His spirits were lifted in that moment and his face lit up. We did get positive news today that his white blood cell & platelet count is up! That means that his body is slowly recovering from the chemo and that he will soon be ready to come home and rest before his bone marrow transplant.
