An Update on Dave

An Update on Dave Hey Friends, The words do not come easily, but we need to inform you of news about Pastor Dave. Yesterday afternoon we found out that the leukemia is back once again. Dave has waged a valiant and honorable fight in these past four years, one that is a huge inspiration to us all. He is an amazing example of how to face adversity with perseverance partnered with God’s miraculous strength and power. Each day has been a precious gift from God that we will treasure. The time has come to rest in God’s timing rather than intervene medically, and though our family is greatly grieved, we are at peace with that reality. We will live through this in the grace and mercy of our great God. Your strong and faithful prayers have carried us through many difficult days and we now ask that you pray for comfort, peace, and rest in the presence of our faithful God. We encourage you to draw near to God. Pray that He would show you more clearly His great love for you, His amazing grace that He offers to all of us, and the peace found in His presence. It is important to our family that we spend as much intimate time together over the next several weeks as possible. Of course, we love hearing from you and receiving your thoughtful gifts and words of encouragement. However, we ask that you send those through the Inland Hills Church office. Thank you for respecting our family’s privacy during this time. This weekend in church, I will give a more detailed update and talk about where we go from here. I hope you will join me at one of the services this Sunday at 9am, 11am, or 5pm. Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 God’s still got this! Andrew Stoeckein
